FIFTH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON GENUS MARMOTA

The Conference Programme will focus on the following topics:

Behaviour

Ecology

Morphology

Population dynamic

Physiology

Biogeography

Genetics

Taxonomy

Phylogeny

Epidemiology

Parasitology

Conservation Management

                       

Scientific programme:

The programme will include plenary lectures, oral communications and posters. An international scientific committee will select the communications based on submitted abstracts. The final programme will be presented in the next circular. Presentations of books and videos are welcome.

 

      Language of the Conference will be both English and Russian.

      Excursion: Chatkal Biosphere Nature Reserve, Parkent.

 

Registration fees:

Standard registration fees are US$70 per person. This price includes participation in plenary sessions, organizing, mail expenses, publishing of the proceedings, coffee breaks and lunches. Registration fees will be US$40 for students. Deadline for registrations is April 30th 2005.

A late registration fee will be applied after April 30th, 2005.

Accommodation:

The conference will be held in Tashkent - the capital of Uzbekistan. Tashkent is located close to the Western Tien Shan ridge. Accommodation in Tashkent will be arranged with the Grand Orzu Hotel (US$30 - single and 35 - double; luxury suite - US$40 - single and 45 - double). Breakfast included.

Please submit your abstract in English or Russian. Presentation of the abstracts in both languages will be highly appreciated.

 

Instructions for Abstracts:

      The entire abstract, including the title and author(s) shall not exceed 300 words.

      Use Times New Roman 12 pt font.

      First type the title in all capital letters, and then proceed with the list of authors.

      Leave one line blank following the last author, and then give the names of institutions and address where author(s) work.

      Italicize scientific names.

      Abbreviations which are generally understood are acceptable.

 

The deadline for abstract submission is 30th April 2005
